With posters prepared, printed and ready to go in the trusty poster tubes, and orals written, rehearsed and saved, it must be time for BES 2014. There are many aspects of the Society for Endocrinology BES that make Young Endocrinologists so enthusiastic in the run up to such an invaluable event.
Whether it be the chance to see how different areas of endocrinology are advancing by attending the wonderful array of symposia, workshops and prizes lectures or getting that all important advice from established endocrinologists on how to make the most of those years as An early career endocrinologist at the YE symposium.
The social events (YE quiz and conference dinner) are also incredibly joyful events, providing an opportunity to catch up with old friends/peers, as well as meeting new colleagues, potential collaborators or even future employers.
Why not come along to the first Young Endocrinologists’ Discussion forum on Wednesday evening, and over a glass of wine or two, voice your opinions on the support and services offered to YEs’ with the dedicated team of Society staff.
Perhaps the main highlight of the BES is prospect of presenting the data - that you have worked incredibly hard to produce - to world-renowned endocrinologists and through the fascinating discussions with them, see how your work fits into an overall “bigger picture.”
Make the most of BES2014, by attending the symposia, workshops and prizes lectures, and meet the speakers, enjoy the fun of meeting new people at the YE quiz and conference dinner, and lets hear all about your experiences via twitter through #sfebes14
