World's first mum-to-daughter uterine transplants (AFP, 18 September 2012)

Doctors from Sweden report two mother-to-daughter womb transplant operations carried out last weekend. Prior to the operations embryos were created from the recipients' eggs and their partners' sperm and were frozen. These can be implanted after a year-long observation period.
