Visceral adipose tissue predicts risk for atherogenic dyslipidemia

Visceral adipose tissue is an independent predictor for the development of atherogenic dyslipidemia, whereas BMI, waist circumference and subcutaneous adipose tissue are not associated with future risk for the condition, according to research in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.
