U of S-led team unlocks link between sex and the female brain (EurekAlert, 20 August 2012)

A study on llamas by researchers from Canada and Chile published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences suggests that the protein in semen that causes certain mammals to ovulate in response to sex may be nerve growth factor. The role of nerve growth factor in human reproduction is not investigated as part of this study.
