Transporter of thyroid hormones is crucial for the embryonal development of the brain

Researchers from KU Leuven and King’s College London report that thyroid transporters are important for embryonic development of the cerebellum. The Journal of Endocrinology study shows that thyroid hormones are needed for foetal brain development at a very early stage.
