The Guardian view on endometriosis: a silent source of unnecessary misery

The Guardian newspaper is running a special feature on endometriosis, a condition that affects an estimated 176 million women globally and which may be responsible for half of all unexplained infertility. It’s editorial calls for menstruation to be less taboo to talk about, for primary care practitioners to be more aware of the condition and for surgery to always be carried out in accredited specialist centres.
