Swedish population study helps answer lingering questions about hormone therapy safety

Oestrogen-only therapy carries a lower risk of blood clots than combined estrogen-progestogen therapy, but there is no significantly increased risk of clots with combination therapy when the oestrogen is transdermal, according a Swedish study investigating the safety of HRT in Menopause.
