Studying babies' mechanism for absorbing calcium may help develop treatment for osteoporosis

A hormone in breast milk that enables breastfeeding babies to absorb calcium and build strong, healthy bones could help improve treatment for people with osteoporosis, according to a study published in Cellular and Molecular Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
