Scientists make 'ground-breaking' breast cancer genes discovery

Two studies into oestrogen receptors, presented at the UK Breast Cancer Research Symposium, give new insight into breast cancer. One study identifies a gene mutation that contributes to resistance to breast cancer treatment. A second study identifies genetic changes that alter the number of oestrogen receptors in cells, affecting women’s risk of developing breast cancer.
