Researchers identify novel insulin-decreasing hormone

Researchers at Stanford University have discovered a hormone in flies and humans that regulates insulin levels, the hormone named limostatin decreases levels of circulating insulin following periods of starvation; their study appears in the journal Cell Metabolism this week. Medical Xpress
