Research finds discrepancy in absorbency of menstrual products

Research published in BMJ Sexual & Reproductive Health assessing the absorbency of modern menstrual products using human-packed red blood cells has found that the current grading of absorbency is discordant with labels. This presents poor outcomes for people with high menstrual bleeding as the current metric for diagnosis leans on testing with saline rather than red blood cells.
