Amputation risk due to diabetes higher among divorced men

According to a study due to be presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes’ annual conference, the risk for diabetes related amputation is 67% higher in patients who are divorced than those who are married. The study also suggests that male patients have a 57% higher risk of amputation than their female counterparts.
