Removal of ovaries may increase risk of chronic kidney disease

Research, published in the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, suggests that premenopausal women who have had their ovaries removed are at greater risk of developing chronic kidney disease, possibly due to low levels of oestrogen.
