Obesity ops 'may cut cancer risk' (BBC news online, 23 June 2009)

A new study has shown that weight-loss surgery reduces the risk of cancer in women but not in men. The research, published in Lancet Oncology, has shown that weight-loss surgery is associated with a 42% reduction in cancer levels in women.
