Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: Scientists identify trigger and treatment

Protein cdk4 triggers the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease according to a study published in Cell Reports. Results suggest inhibition of this enzyme significantly reduced first stage development of this disease.
