Newborns with borderline thyroid function at higher risk of poor neurodevelopmental outcomes

Neonates with high concentrations of thyroid stimulating hormone are more likely to experience poor neurodevelopmental outcomes at school age, according to research published in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology.
