New research supports 'biological passport' for growth hormone doping in sport (AlphaGalileo, 1 June 2010)

A study published in the journal Clinical Endocrinology has shown that an athlete's blood levels of certain growth hormone biomarkers alter very little over the athletic season. The findings suggest that these biomarkers could be used in an 'athlete biological passport' to catch athletes that inject growth hormone to improve performance.
