New method to measure cortisol could lead to better understanding of development of common diseases (Science Daily, 2 May 2011)

A potential new method to measure a person's cortisol levels has been presented at the European Congress of Endocrinology. The researchers found that hair can be used to create a retrospective timeline of exposure to cortisol, which may provide a non-invasive way of studying cortisol's role in conditions such as cardiovascular disease and depression.
