New drug for type 2 diabetes helps with weight loss (Daily Telegraph, 7 July 2009)

A new drug for the treatment of diabetes has been launched in the UK. Victoza, (also known as liraglutide) made by Novo Nordisk, is taken as a daily injection and lowers the chances of hypoglycaemic attacks.
