Mothers' weight before and during pregnancy affects baby's weight (EurekAlert, 13 December 2011)

A study using data from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health Mother and Child Study, published in Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, suggests that BMI before pregnancy and weight gain during pregnancy are both associated with high birthweight offspring.
