Metformin may protect against heart disease in type-1 diabetics

Research, published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences, suggests that metformin can improve the body’s ability to repair damaged blood vessels, by lowering miR-222, miR-195 and miR-21a levels in type-1 diabetes patients.
