Last supper 'has been super-sized', say obesity experts (BBC News Online, 23 March 2010)

A Cornell University team has used computer-aided technology to examine the portion and plate sizes in 52 paintings of the Last Supper. They have shown a substantial increase in both over the last millenia, suggesting that increasing portion sizes in real life could be at least partly to blame for the current prevalence of obesity.
