Is leptin responsible for altering the insular cortex in response to eating disorders?

US scientists have published a study in the journal Eating Disorders, in which they found that people with eating disorders have impaired taste sensitivities related to changes in neurone activity in the insular cortex, and that this could be linked to leptin.
