Increased thyroid function linked to dementia

According to a prospective study presented at the 2015 International Thyroid Congress and Annual Meeting of the American Thyroid Association high-functioning thyroid levels, including those falling within the normal range, are associated with an increased risk of dementia; this could represent a new therapeutic target for dementia and Alzheimer’s.
