Implant to help fight osteoporosis and arthritis (The Daily Telegraph, 16 February 2010)

University of Strasbourg scientists have developed a technique to stimulate local regrowth of bone and cartilage using a capsule-based delivery system. The capsules contain growth factors which promote the differentiation of stem cells into bone cells, and represent a new strategy in the treatment of bone disorders such as osteoporosis.
