Hypertensive women may benefit from drugs that block aldosterone

Aldosterone causes damage to the cardiovascular system when at high levels and drugs that block its receptors may reduce high blood pressure more effectively, say researchers at the 38th World Congress of the International Union of Physiological Sciences in Rio de Janeiro.
