High dietary iron intake suppresses hormone that regulates appetite

Researchers at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center have found that dietary iron intake, equivalent to heavy red meat consumption, suppresses leptin. Their study is published this week in the Journal of Clinical Investigation.
