Gene variation linked to infertility in women (Medical News Today, 16 May 2011)

Johns Hopkins University researchers looking into a link between cholesterol and female infertility have discovered a gene varation that may be a factor in infertility, as in a study of 274 women undergoing IVF treatment the nine with the variation failed to become pregnant. The variation was also linked with lower follicular progesterone levels. The research is published in Human Reproduction.
