Estrogen levels affect the exosome-carried microRNA profile of postmenopausal women

Exosome-carried microRNAs are sensitive to estrogen levels, so detection of these microRNAs may be used to evaluate the effects of hormonal therapies, or as indicators of the hormonal status of women, according to a study in Scientific Reports.
