Crop raiding African elephants are 'stressed out' (BBC Earth News, 14 December 2010)

Researchers have measured the levels of stress hormones in dung collected from elephants involved in crop raids and from those in protected areas to show higher levels in elephants that conduct crop raids, citing a number of possible effects of stress on animal behaviour.
