Cocoa constituents may have anti-obesity effects

A study, published in Molecular Nutrition and Food Research, reports that phenolic compounds found in cocoa bean shells have anti-inflammatory effects on fat cells in vitro, which may reduce fat accumulation and decrease insulin resistance.
