Call for thyroid screening in pregnancy (BBC News Online, 4 May 2011)

A study presented at the European Congress of Endocrinology has suggested that a screening program for thyroid peroxidase antibodies in pregnant women may help a large number that could go on to develop thyroid disease in the two years following delivery.
