'Average' height yields most children (BBC News Online, 19 November 2011)

A study conducted on data from men in the US by researchers from The Netherlands, and published in Behavioural Ecology and Sociobiology, reports that men of average height (178cm or 5ft 10in) may produce more children than taller or shorter men.
