Autoimmune diabetes may be linked to thyroid dysfunction

Researchers have identified robust, gender-neutral associations between autoimmune diabetes and an increased prevalence of hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism and the presence of thyroid peroxidase antibodies; their study is published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism.
