Smoking during pregnancy sees preterm birth risk rise threefold

British researchers have suggested that the risk of preterm birth due to smoking during pregnancy is twice as high as the previous estimation. The study, published in the International Journal of Epidemiology, found no link between caffeine consumption and negative outcomes for mother and baby.
