No significant relationship found between diabetes and breast cancer

A study published in the British Journal of Cancer, which aimed to assess the links between diabetes and breast cancer risk, concluded that there was no significant association between the two. However, the study observed an increased risk of breast cancer shortly after a type 2 diagnosis, and that patients with type 1 diabetes had a higher risk of breast cancer than non-diabetic individuals.
