Male cancer survivor offspring slightly higher risk of congenital birth abnormalities (EurekAlert, 8 February 2011)

Researchers from Lund University Hospital, Sweden, have demonstrated a slight but significant increase in the incidence of congenital birth deformities in the offspring of male survivors of cancer, when compared to children born to fathers with no history of cancer. The study found that this effect was independent of the mode of conception.
