Lower levels of psoriasin in people with diabetes increases risk of UTIs

A Swedish study, published in Nature Communications, suggests that high glucose levels in people with diabetes are associated with decreases in levels of the antimicrobial peptide psoriasin, which may increase the risk of urinary tract infections.
