Increased risk of diabetes and heart disease associated with pregnancy complications

A study published in Circulation suggests that women who had complications in pregnancy, including gestational diabetes, preeclampsia or premature delivery, have a higher chance of developing diabetes, cardiovascular disease and risk of mortality than those who had an uneventful pregnancy.
