History of premenstrual disorders associated with risk of perinatal depression

According to research presented in PLOS Medicine has found that women who experience premenstrual disorders prior to pregnancy are 5 times more likely to suffer from perinatal depression. The researchers hope these findings will raise awareness of the risk, and increase support for at-risk women.
