Adults with depression have increased risk of cardiovascular disease

According to research published in JAMA Network Open, adults with mild to severe depressive symptoms are more at risk of all-cause cardiovascular disease and ischemic heart disease mortality than their counterparts with no symptoms. Exercise and smoking were found to improve outcomes.
