The Society has a number of fantastic opportunities for Young Endocrinologists including:

Voice of the Future 2014

Put your questions about the future of UK science to science policy-makers at Voice of the Future 2014, a parliamentary event taking place at the House of Commons on Wednesday 19 March 2014. We have four places to allocate to Young Endocrinologists who submit questions most relevant to the future of endocrinology. These individuals will be invited to represent the Society at the event with travel expenses paid. Send your questions to [email protected] by Friday 7 February. Voice of Young Science media workshops

Five places are available for Student, Scientist-in-Training, Clinician-in-Training and Associate Members to attend the VoYS media workshop, Standing Up for Science, on Friday 14 March 2014 at the University of Manchester. To accompany the places, five SfE travel grants of up to £200 are available for attending the workshop. If you’re interested about the inner workings of the media, this event is an invaluable chance to learn from respected journalists, scientists and press officers from all around the country. Contribute to The Endocrinologist!

Are you passionate about endocrinology? Do you have a suggestion for an article or news story that you think our members would like to read about?  If so, The Endocrinologist, the Society’s official magazine, would like to hear from you.  We welcome ideas for articles from all members and those working in the field.  We are particularly keen to hear from our Young Endocrinologist members on the issues that matter to them, be it career planning, sharing recent findings or best practice tips. Please contact the Editorial office at [email protected], describing your idea in no more than 100 words. The deadline for news items for the Summer 2014 edition is 21 March 2014.
