Winter issue of The Endocrinologist now available online (1)

The winter issue of the Society’s quarterly magazine The Endocrinologist is now available online. With the theme ‘The adipocyte: a metabolic marvel’, the new issue includes insights into the basic biology of the fat cell, the key physiological features of brown fat, and the therapeutic modulation of adipocytes. Additionally, it features a fascinating piece on the role of fat in bone marrow, a reminder of the benefits of ‘healthy fat’, and a description of the spectrum of serious disorders that can result from fat accumulation in the liver.

In Society News, we look back at SfE BES 2017, and consider interdepartmental peer review. Our ‘Next Generation’ describe the first National Diabetes and Endocrinology Taster Day, and the winner of the Endocrine Nurse Award 2018 is announced.
