The successful applicant is expected to attend the ESS Meeting and participate actively in the development of the ESS program in terms of knowledge within the society, attraction of the best students and speakers, and promotion of high level science within ESPE. He/she is also expected to teach at the ESS Meeting and be involved in mentoring and social interactions with the students. Applicants should have a wide knowledge of the published literature in paediatric endocrinology in general and detailed knowledge in specific area(s). Preference will be given to candidates with both clinical and basic science research background, as well as technical expertise at least in one area of paediatric endocrinology.
The workload consists of one teleconference every six months, several emails and preparation work, attendance at the ESS Meeting, evaluation of submitted applications, and one face to face meeting every year (during the annual ESPE meeting). Applications are sent to the ESS Committee for review and discussion via email. The appointment will be made by the ESPE Council following recommendation by the ESS Committee.
