US Institute of Medicine publishes guidance on systematic reviews and clinical guidelines

The Institute of Medicine, the health arm of the US National Academy of Sciences, has published new standards on systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines.

The documents make a number of recommendations that aim to improve the way we collect and assess the range of information used to construct systematic reviews and guidelines.
