University Professorship In Neurobiology With Emphasis On ’Cellular And Molecular Imaging’, Berlin, Germany

08 Aug 2013

Added via Nature Jobs. The Neuroscience Research Center (NWFZ) at the Charité in cooperation with the NeuroCure Cluster of Excellence invites applications for a University Professorship in Neurobiology with emphasis on ’Cellular and Molecular Imaging’.

This position is initially limited to five years and can be extended for further five years upon positive evaluation, or converted into a permanent position given necessary qualifications are met. Candidates would be biomedical scientists with a strong background in cellular imaging and physiology in various model organisms to study different areas of normal neural development/function and/or diseases of the nervous system. However, demonstrated scientific excellence is more important than the specific area of research. Preference will be given to individuals whose interests are synergistic with ongoing research programs at the Center/Charité.

The successful candidate is expected to provide leadership in the field of neuroscience and neuroimaging and establish an independent, internationally competitive research program that will tie in with the longstanding tradition of academic excellence in research at the Charité. State-of-the-art (genomics, epigenomics, proteomics) research and neuroimaging facilities, as well as extensive dedicated mouse housing are available to all members of the Charité community.

The deadline for applications is 31 August 2013. For more information please visit the job advert.
