Type 1 and 2 diabetes could be treated with eye implant

Swedish researchers have developed a new 3D printed implantation device which delivers pancreatic islets that help to restore insulin, treating people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The study, published in Advanced Materials, saw success in mice trials and may provide a new model for treating diabetes.
