Two vacancies on the ESPE Research Fellowship Committee – deadline 13 July 2012

We are seeking applications for two vacant positions on the ESPE Research Fellowship Committee. The 3-year appointment will start in September 2012. The Research Fellowship Committee is responsible for reviewing applications for the ESPE Research Fellowship grants. The grants, supported by Novo Nordisk, are awarded to young paediatricians or scientists who desire a scientific career in paediatric endocrinology, in order to finance and support them during their research training for a period of up to two years. There are three two-year grants available each year, one of which is reserved for post-doc students, and one short-term grant for a period of up to six months.

The workload consists of one meeting in April in Copenhagen each year (travel and accommodation expenses will be covered) to select the suitable candidates for the grants. The committee members are expected to have reviewed the applications prior to the meeting.

The appointments will be made by the ESPE Council following recommendation by the Research Fellowship committee.

Please note that applications from candidates who are based in the same research centre as any member of the ESPE Research Fellowship Committee cannot be considered for the grant. Committee members are also not permitted to host candidates for the long-term grants. Committee members must be ESPE members.
