Two upcoming public events from the Society for Endocrinology

11 Feb 2013

SfE will be kicking off its public engagement programme in 2013 with events accepted to two UK science festivals.

The first - The Seven Ages of Man - will take place on 2 March 2013 at the Brighton Science Festival and will see Professor Stephen Shalet (Manchester) taking the audience through hormones across the lifespan.

In the second - Facing a Fat Future - Dr Tony Goldstone (London) and Professor Jonathan Seckl (Edinburgh) will examine how the obesity epidemic came about and what lies ahead for mankind as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival. The event is taking place on 4 April 2013.

If you've got a stimulating idea to take the science of endocrinology into the public domain, spread the word about the role that hormones play in health and disease, and maybe even learn a little bit more while you're at it, why not apply for a SfE Public Engagement Grant.
