The Society for Endocrinology is sad to announce the death of one of its ex-Presidents Professor Barry Furr, recognised around the world for his ground-breaking work on cancer drugs has died. Barry, a grandfather of five, was chief scientist at AstraZeneca until he retired aged 62, but continued as a consultant for international companies and trustee for cancer charities until his death.
